soundclick sucks compared to this site, it takes 10-12 clicks to even find the section to upload your music, I'm officially switching over to netmusicians for all uploads, well done on this website!

# 31 - Posted by spawnofthesith on 2010-08-25 06:23:02
Is the problem with linking to this site from Facebook on facebook's side of things, or netmusician's?
# 30 - Posted by Jak3 on 2010-08-25 02:39:19
Let us know when this file attack issue is resolved.
# 29 - Posted by futurism on 2010-08-23 22:26:33
hmmm
sorry about this
Im starting to think this is to do with 2 people uploading simultaneously
certainly size isnt the issue, ive test uploaded very large files

you dont have to delete anything
im still working on it

# 28 - Posted by metalfanat1c on 2010-08-23 13:45:48
Tried to upload a 3.33 mb MP3, got the file upload error. So I used dropbox instead.
# 27 - Posted by Draelyc on 2010-08-23 12:50:48
Just saw your response ~ thanks! Ya, two clips went up just fine, but the third wouldn't. I'll have to check on the sizes, but I don't think the third was that much bigger... All three were small ~ I've uploaded entire songs before with no problem, and these were just demo clips. --Do I need to delete some earlier uploads to make more room, perhaps?

Thanks!

# 26 - Posted by metalfanat1c on 2010-08-23 10:47:55
I was about to say... a 450+ megabyte MP3? lol

i up loaded my 1st clip fine and got the upload attack thing on my 2nd. I opened the 2nd in audacity and removed some silence at the end of the clip, saved it and reuploaded no problems
# 22 - Posted by futurism on 2010-08-21 09:16:46
OK, possibly we are getting somewhere with this file upload issue. This is hard for me to debug during the week as I live in various hotels due to my work and dont have decent internet to allow me to test uploads.

Draelyc - you have uploaded heaps of clips here, and teh fact you did 2 and then a third failed leads me to think something about the third clip was different.

Was your third clip larger? If so, what size was it?

# 21 - Posted by Draelyc on 2010-08-21 03:28:59
Happened to me, too, y'all. I uploaded two tracks, but on the third I got "possible upload attack!" :~/
# 20 - Posted by fastredponycar on 2010-08-18 04:45:34
I'm getting the same file upload attack error after the upload seemingly finishes.

It's an MP3 file.

# 19 - Posted by kylendm on 2010-08-18 02:40:57
Yeah it was an MP3. I'll try again and see what happens.
# 18 - Posted by metalfanat1c on 2010-08-17 09:12:35
The anti-homosexual douche is back again with another posting of his stupid shitty song.
# 17 - Posted by futurism on 2010-08-17 08:29:43
hi kylendm -
what is the file extension of the file?
The only acceptable format is .mp3

The only validation being done is on file extension

# 16 - Posted by kylendm on 2010-08-17 06:07:49
Possible file upload attack!
File not uploaded

What does this mean? I'm just trying to upload a few clips of my amp?

# 15 - Posted by futurism on 2010-08-16 23:00:43
I think I have fixed the issues with apostrophes, finally.

There were 2 I found, you couldnt click on amps like '65 Fender and you couldnt post a comment containing an apostrophe.

Both should now work

# 13 - Posted by keiffer on 2010-08-16 20:19:40
Excellent... Thanks a bunch.
# 12 - Posted by djabthrash on 2010-08-16 18:19:38
Thanks futurism for all that work on your site.
# 11 - Posted by metalfanat1c on 2010-08-16 10:08:50
The site reworks are killer, futurism. I'm impressed at how much cooler this site got overnight.

Can you fix the apostrophe bug?

# 10 - Posted by futurism on 2010-08-16 08:16:17
keiffer - done

djbathrash - done (again), I dont think that kind of thing should be here either

note to all - I lost some stats, sorry, I rtfm but still managed to break it by automating it, stats will update daily or so until I work out how to automate properly

# 9 - Posted by djabthrash on 2010-08-16 06:03:21
Admin, i think you might wanna remove that homophobic song this one stupid guy has posted once again :

# 7 - Posted by keiffer on 2010-08-15 22:32:53
Any chance of putting the latest song comment at the top. Basically reverse the order you now have. Thanks.

ryan24 - I think I fixed the issue you were discussing in comment #5

Thanks for the input.

# 5 - Posted by ryan24 on 2010-08-15 19:50:33
Alrighty, somethings been bugging me for awhile. When I click on an amp that has a "plus" sign at the end, like "Mark IIC+" or "6505+", the "plus" just acts as a space in the URL and leaves out the plus, and Im not able to access these clips. Im not sure if this happens to anyone else though... just thought I would bring it up and see if its just me or if it can be fixed. Cheers.
# 4 - Posted by futurism on 2010-08-15 17:02:38
OK, if you visit here regularly, you will see that this is a new feature.

If something is wrong with the site its probably best to tell me about it here.

Its going to work a bit like 4chan for now and only show the last 100 comments, but I might improve on that if people see value in doing so.

My comments will appear in red, everyone elses in White.

The other improvement is I found a much more efficient way to count the stats, so stats are back. Soon they should update every hour once I finish reading the debian cron manual!

# 3 - Posted by testing on 2010-08-15 16:59:42

I am messing about with a new feature, if I break the site thats why!

@menthal : ok now that makes more sense :) Proof that great playing + great chain (boost pedal + good impulse) with a good tweaking plays a major part in the tone, and not only the preamp/amp sims used.
#4520 - Posted by menthal on 2010-09-02
hehe thx
its a maxon od808 into a podxt with the triple rectifier simulation and instead of using the cab sim in the pod I use keFIR VST with catharsis-awesometime-fredman impulses

#4519 - Posted by djabthrash on 2010-09-02
Holy shit that's a podXT ???
Sounds freakin' AMAZING ! One of the best guitar tones i've ever heard, exactly the kind i dig.

Please describe your signal chain, and post more clips ! :)

Low pass @ 8-9kHz might have been better. This plug has a pretty scooped sound already, i think, so I would use more mids. Of course, that might not be your thang!
#4373 - Posted by djabthrash on 2010-08-13
nice, maybe too gainy if you are looking for an articulate, precise and defined sound though...

and i second Jak3 on the 6k cutting thing

#4371 - Posted by Jak3 on 2010-08-13
That low pass at 6k is cutting out alot.
#4364 - Posted by J0hnnie on 2010-08-13
The Maxon OD808 with Drive 3, Tone at 5 and Balance dimed. Then into the TSE X30. The Input at noon, drive at 3:30, Bass at 11:30, LoMid at 1:30, HiMid at 3:00 and Treble at 1:00, with the Contour Engaged, and Output left at noon. I used a compressor, an EQ to slightly dip at 1khz and a low pass filter set at 6.86Khz to take away some of that modeller fizz.

Right side still sounds a tad better/louder/clearer. And try playing tighter if you want to see if the tone balance is good.

Sounds cool but guitars sound phasey, as if you did something weird with miking (phase issues ?)/doubling (copy pasting tracks with slight delay maybe ?)

i like the beginning (before that vocals kick in), the production is very decent, but you might wanna lower the hihat/overheads a bit.
#4200 - Posted by goosehead on 2010-07-25
Yeah. I agree with ivenstein about the vocals. Do not know what you are saying but that woudnt matter if the vox were aggressive:P
#4197 - Posted by ivenstein on 2010-07-25
ok, the vox could be more more aggressive... but this is only my opinion!
